The presentations are on the openreach website behind a login so if you are an openreach customer you can acceess them. I am but I never look on the openreach website so haven't got round to sorting it yet.

Not surethere was an Ofcom person at the meeting so don't know that answer.

So Vonga is not the POTS emulation as orginally concieved by 21C - basically Ericsson call servers trying to emulate their own AXE10 feature set and the much more complicated System X's - hence the delay/failure, but the SIP servers currently supporting the BT Retail residential Broadband voice service, so why anyone would need to wait is odd.

This is naff, ATAs are naff. We just need the data transport to be of sufficient quality to permit our computing devices to connect which then find one another.

The notion of preserving the PSTN service as a SIP service with special status on our connectivity, with all the complexity it creates should be resisted. We do not need a PSTN lite, but a basic data transport capable of supporting a multi-media communications service.

If there was any foresight, then the spectrum modernisation activity would also seek to merge our fixed and mobile data transport, or at least cater for this necessity. Our comms credentials need to work seemlessly across all our connectivity.

Are the presentations in the public domain? Who is the Ofcom lead on this?
