Background and Content of VoIP Workshops

Industry trade body ITSPA and technology site trefor.net have teamed up to co-produce VoIP workshops. These typically happen twice a year, in October and around March time – click here for forward planning calendar. Topics to be covered at these VoIP workshops are normally announced 6 – 8 weeks beforehand and the events themselves usually attract a good audience from the 82 ITSPA membership.

This is a great opportunity to get your brand message across to a highly targeted audience. The workshops usually follow this rough pattern:

Arrival, registration & teas & coffees
Welcome
Talk 1 – 20 mins
Talk 2 – 20 mins
Talk 3 – 20 mins
Networking coffee break
Panel Debate on the specific theme of the workshop. – 60 mins
Networking drinks

The talks are usually very relevant to the topic of the panel debate and often given by the panelists. The panel debates themselves always get a high level of audience participation and are both very entertaining and educational.

Topics discussed in the past include provisioning best practice, VoIP fraud and security, handsets – wifi versus dect, desktop voip phone developments, soft clients, developments in session border controllers, mobile VoIP markets, the future for OTT voice, net neutrality.

We occasionally fit in two panel discussions and cut down on the talks.

Who should sponsor and why?

If you are a VoIP equipment vendor or involved in wholesale activities selling to the ITSP community then this is a great opportunity to get in front of your target customer base. ITSPA membership comprises over 80 ITSPs – most of the UK market.

The ITSPA/trefor.net workshops are promoted up to 2 months in advance both to the membership and to other stakeholders in the ITSP community (including prospective members). A sponsor will therefore get coverage for a prolonged period of time in the run up to the event as well as face time in front of key market players on the day.

trefor.net will typically get up to 60,000 visitors to the site in the 8 week period prior to the workshop. We will also be running a week of VoIP themed posts during the week of the workshop. Posts during themed weeks get around 7k visits and a high level of engagement with readers. Check out more details here.
