Friday afternoon blogging and the Royal Military Tournament

Timico, sales, marketing,We bloggers when it comes to Friday afternoon begin to think about the weekend. For most of us the two precious days off are a chance to recover from the stresses of the week, recharge the batteries and quietly begin to compile the ideas for posts in the week ahead.

By the following Friday afternoon these ideas have been applied, consumed, absorbed and  subsumed into the national consciousness (depending on how many readers you have 🙂 ).

So come Friday a blogger, especially of the tech variety, starts to look around for one last idea to fill his WordPress quota for the week. This is where the truly creative post are born. The cake competition results, details of the lunch with Viv Richards etc etc.

On this occasion I can offer you a picture of the Timico Sales and Marketing teams – over 40 of them. You might wonder where the creativity lies within such a picture? Well if the Beatles can do it with Sergeant Pepper then so can I.

I was shocked to see how many of them there are.  Shocked isn’t really the right word. Impressed is nearer the mark. As a business grows you have to get a lot of things right and the sales strategy is one of them. Our strategy is evolving as the shape of the business changes and in fact there will be considerably more faces in the photo when I repeat the exercise this time next year (assuming someone reminds me).

Inset is a photo of Kirsty Woodman Kirsty Woodman - winner of Timico President's Clubthe winner of this quarter’s President’s Club for the best sales performance during the period. She gets VIP tickets for two at the Royal Military Tournament in December, including first class train down, a night at a 5 star hotel and dinner at Roussillon. A step up from the mug on offer for the trefor.net competitions 🙂

The bottles of course represent the three armed services. I’m not sure Kirsty drinks bitter but I’m sure Mr Woodman will be happy to help out.
